DRIVER

The vehicle operator is the person driving the freight vehicle and has specific e-Transport obligations:

  • Possess and present the UIT code în the customs and during inspections

  • Activate and deactivate the monitoring device, allowing the vehicle’s position to be automatically transmitted to the RO e-Transport system

The e-Transport compliance obligation applies to all drivers operating vehicles with a minimum authorized mass of at least 2.5 tons when performing:

  • National transport of high fiscal risk goods, or

  • International transport (imports, exports, intra-community acquisitions, and deliveries) for any type of goods.

What do I do if I change my truck or trailer? Do I need to do anything in the app?

No. The dispatcher must be informed of the change and will update it on the web platform. In the mobile app, you will then see the UIT code with the new license plate.
